Let's talk about hpv-related warts
HPV does not always cause symptoms and many people do not even know they have it. However sometimes HPV infections can cause warts.
Warts from HPV can appear on your genitals, hands, or feet. Low-risk HPV strains 6 and 11 cause 90% of these warts.
Genital warts
The Mayo Clinic states that there are more than 40 strains of HPV that affect the genital area. Genital warts appear mostly on the vulva but can also appear near the anus, on the cervix, or in the vagina. In men, genital warts appear on the penis, scrotum or near the anus.
Genital warts rarely cause discomfort or pain although they may itch or feel tender. They are almost always spread through sexual contact.
Note that warts do not have to be visible for you to spread the infection to your sexual partner.

Common warts
These are rough, raised bumps that usually occur on the hands and fingers. These can be painful or susceptible to injury or bleeding. You can transmit HPV through exposed warts on your fingers.
Plantar warts
These are hard, grainy growths that grow on your feet. These warts are uncomfortable to walk on. You can transmit HPV by sharing shoes when you have an exposed wart.
Flat warts
Flat warts are flat-topped, slightly raised lesions. These can appear anywhere but children usually get them on the face and men tend to get them in the beard area. Women tend to get them on the legs. As always, you can transmit HPV when you have an exposed wart.
